Editor-at-large for Vogue Japan, there’s not much of the shy retiring type about Italian fashion queen Anna Dello Russo. So when it was announced that she’d be doing an accessories line with H&M I reckoned it’d be pretty interesting.
Sure, it’s last year’s news now and we’re all looking towards Isabel Marant’s lineup for the store but I’m still crushing on my purchases, which I stampeded into South King Street to buy on launch day.
With more than a nod to Kenneth Jay Lane in a lot of the pieces, I didn’t adore it all – some of it was even too gaudy for my taste – but with jewellery, sunglasses, shoes and travel cases on offer, there was a lot of choice. I picked up four pieces of jewellery and nothing I bought was more than about €40 individually. Wanna snoop? Oh go on then.
Even the boxes were great: heavy, luxe card with gold metal accents and tasseled pulls, these were ones to keep. So I did.
This is a bit of a beast of a cuff. It's hard to get on and off and the 'stone' is plastic but it's a real statement piece.
This I adore. Super-love. Very Kenneth JL, no?
Laura's Donegal-bought sparklers.
I think this, along with the snake cuff, is my favourite piece from the range. Love it.
Another look at the snake necklace.
