Skinceuticals Brightening UV Defense SPF30, €39, is like a well-behaved man. It’s just hassle-free. It plays no horrible games with you.
By you, I mean your skin.
It doesn’t cause me to break out, there are no face cheese issues and it’s no hassle whatsoever to use it.
It’s un-scented, so grand for sensitive types, it’s got a nice thin, easily spreadable texture – no chalkiness here – and it’s got a pigmentation-blasting formula in the mix too which is really smart when you think about it. Protectin’ and preventin’ at once. Cleveerrrr.
Ok so SPF30’s not the ideal – 50 would be – but I just find I get along with this really well. It’s hydrating, mixes really well with whatever I seem to apply it over, under or with, and is just an all-round great facial sun protector. It doesn’t cause me to break out, there are no face cheese issues and it’s no hassle whatsoever to use it.
That’s really what you want from a facial suncream, I think.
Yes, it is pricey, the brand isn’t the easiest to get hold of – it’s salon-only – but if you’re in the market and have a few quid to throw down, it is worth a look.
