Anybody with even a modicum of interest in beauty can’t help but have clocked the huge surge of interest in all things talontastic over the past few years. The rise in nail art, fulled by artists like Sophy Robson and salons such as Wah, adoption by nail art-loving ‘slebs like Katy Perry  plus tech developments (magnets, caviar) which have helped keep polish interesting. That’s all fuelled huge and on-going consumer demand.

That might be waning though, warns WWD, which reported yesterday that sales slumped in the US over the past year. And by slumped, they mean they only grew by 19% in the luxury polish sector as opposed to the 40% growth experienced the year before.

Oh right so Ted. We won’t panic just yet then, eh?
