Lancome isn’t throwing out its rule book either with the Kate Winslet-fronted L’Absolu Desir
Brands, it seems, are playing it safe this Autumn. Clarins’ Graphic Expressions collection is solid but not earth-shatteringly different, Bobbi Brown’s Rich Chocolate we’ve seen her do in many guises, and so it goes.
Lancome isn’t throwing out its rule book either with the Kate Winslet-fronted L’Absolu Desir. On selected counters from September, it’s reprising the statement powder compact – so pretty you just can’t use it – plus some nice lip and nail colours.
Short, sweet, and to the point.
With a face powder, Rose Desir Blush, €45, as the star of the show, the supporting characters come in the form of six lip colours, €26, and one nail shade, €18.
Packaging is Parisian, pretty black and gold compacts and casings are dressing table-worthy.
L’Absolu Rouge in Prune Desir is a new shade introduced for this collection. There are also Caprice, Rose Nu, Rouge Rayonnant, Rose Desir and Rouge Desir to chose from; existing colours given a AW13 makeover in that pretty packaging.
Three blackened nail colours in the form of Black Sepia, Grey Lumiere (shown) and Purple fiction make an interesting counterpoint.
And the palette. Cute, huh?
