Oh, now this is exciting: come October, YSL will launch Youth Liberator Serum Foundation, €42.
In seven shades, it’ll come in three colour families; rosy, beige and gold, to suit a variety of skin tones. The shade I’ve been sent, BR50, is one of the rosy beige shades and is quite dark, so I’m assuming the beige offerings, having lower numbers, are the ones to better match paler skin types – the bugbear of most of us Celtic types.
Designed to layer over the existing Youth Liberator Serum and skincare and to work in tandem with it, the foundation’s your last step in a routine that’s all about targeting visible ageing, brightness and tone.
Great bottle, eh?
From my quick test – this has just landed – this feels lovely in texture with a medium finish, and the inclusion of SPF20 adds up to something we really want from our makeup these days, especially at €42: something that has more than a mere cosmetic effect, and which can result in change over time.
