I’ve liked a fair few of the Viva Glam lipsticks – Viva Glam I is a bit of a classic, in truth, and Nicki Minaj’s was a lot of fun. But I didn’t think I’d like Rihanna’s lipstick and lipglass, €19 and €18 respectively, launching on February 13th, at all at all.

As a result, despite the fact that all the proceeds barring VAT goes to AIDS charities, meant that these have been sitting on my testing pile for absolutely weeks, cos I just didn’t want to try ’em.

But when I did, well, it was a whole different ballgame. Frost? Nah. Metallic, innit. And there’s a golden gleam that’s actually a) really different and b) really nice.

I’m loving it, in other words. And every time I wear it, I get compliments and excited oohs when I take out the bullet because the red packaging is also pretty standout.

If you’re a red fan, want to do some charitable works and get a damned good lipstick to boot, you could do a lot worse than this one. Just sayin’.
