Kate Winslet looked every inch the red carpet star for the London premiere of her new film Divergent this week wearing a classic, strapless Jenny Packham dress accompanied by statement earrings. Care-free, tousled hair styled by Nicola Clarke at John Frieda and glowing makeup by Lisa Eldridge completed the elegant look.
As a long time ambassador for Lancome, Kate would always be wearing their products with my guess being the moisturizing, dewy Teint Miracle on this occasion. If you’re on a slightly tighter budget though Flawless Finish from Mememe cosmetics (1) also gives a lovely creamy, glowing complexion especially when given a boost with the brand’s Angels with Halos skin illuminator underneath.
To give the appearance of brighter and more open eyes, start with a light, shimmering eye shadow along the top lid, blending it up to the brow bone. A flesh-toned pencil applied along the water line is softer and more natural looking than white liner and will help to hide redness as well as signs of tiredness.
Having lighter base tones around the eye allow lashes to really stand out, for definition, choose a true black liner such as Stila Stay All Day (2) followed by mascara on both top and bottom lashes.
For a pop of colour, Kate used Lancome’s Rouge in Love in 163M (3), a vibrant coral shade rather than red, which made the whole look fresher. Coral is generally softer against most skin tones and also makes teeth look whiter, which is always good whether you’re at a premiere or not!
