Browsing Asos for one of my regular searches – midi skirts – last night, I noticed something I hadn’t seen before. An asterisk by the FREE DELIVERY WORLDWIDE button. “Uhoh, that wasn’t there before,” I thought, and clicked.
No, no indeed it wasn’t, and quietly, and maybe just this week, Asos has snuck in paid shipping on orders. Here’s the downlow.
- Standard delivery within five days now costs €3, UNLESS you spend over €15.
- Express delivery (formerly €5) is currently FREE on orders over €75, using the promo code EXPRESSIE [Express delivery within 3 days. For a limited time only. Minimum order €75. Enter code EXPRESSIE at checkout. Can’t be used in combination with other offers.]
- Returns are all paid.
So, it’s gonna be easy enough to avoid – €15’s a small enough minimum for regular delivery.
But what do you think? The shart of a slippery payment slope? Will it push you to other etailers with free shipping? Do let us know, cos it’s an interesting one.
