Look for this little lot on counter in July: Lancome’s summer makeup collection is a limited edition collection that’s just about two things: bronze and blues.
The star of the show’s the Golden Riviera Star Bronzer, €45. It’s MAHH-HASSIVE, this yoke. Huge! And if it turns out to be the right shade for your skintone, then it’s also an amazing price because you get 30g of product for your forty five quid.
Uhuh, yes, that is an overspray. Yes, it disappears at the very sight of a brush. Sigh.
So, here’re swatches: left is the first and only time you’ll get this brassy colour, as that’s basically the overspray coming off. Right is how it swatches with the ‘spray’s away. That’s quite thickly swatched and unless you’re doing it really wrong, you’ll never be applying your bronzer in streaks (tell me you’re not applying your bronzer in streaks …) and instead in a light veil of colour.
It’s complemented by three nail shades: two pool hues and one metallic, for €19 each. Again, they’re limited edition. Shades are Golden Riviera 340, Marine Chic 555 and Nuit d’Azur 557 and the blues are cremes, with the gold a finely-milled shimmer (it’s lahhhvley, by the way).
So, that’s Lancome SS14. Whaddya reckon?
