Space NK’s arrival on Grafton Street is pretty much Christmas come six months early for beauty junkies and you’re going to have so much fun playing and sampling in the new shop.
With over 50 exclusive-to-Ireland brands available, we’re gonna see Becca back in stores as well as new brands like Sarah Chapman skincare and Sunday Riley. I did a scream when I heard about Sunday Riley, I’ll admit it.
There’s tons more too like US anti-frizz hair brand Living Proof, makeup By Terry, Lipstick Queen and Kevin Aucoin (which you can buy on Mise Beauty, but to have it locally is amazing) as well as a heap of super-targeted skincare options from Zelens, Nude, Colbert MD and loads more.
If you’re heading into the store this weekend for a wander and a sneaky purchase, then here are 10 products I think you should definitely take a look at.
- Oskia Super 16, €100, is a hydrating anti-ageing serum that’s all about encouraging collagen production for firmer, more elastic skin.
- Eek! So excited: Sunday Riley will be available and the Artemis Hydroactive Cellular Oil, about €120, is a lemon-scented serum to balance the complexion. Oily gals? Look at this.
Aurelia is a new-and-making-waves natural skincare line that performs. Using probiotics, this is one to look at if you love naturally-derived skincare. I’m gonna be checking out the Refine & Polish Miracle Balm, €74, STAT.
We took a look at Radical recently when I cooed over the amazing SPF the brand has. Buy that in-store as well as Advanced Peptide Antioxidant Serum, €145, which is enriched with 13 ultra-high-performance anti-aging active agents, including two hexapeptides. I love peptides: they’re a wonder for first ageing and beyond, and Radical says that this “has the expert ability to defend and repair skin regardless of age, skin type and ethnicity, against all factors causing skin aging.”
Huzzah! Becca is back and this Australian line is an ace for bases that are sheer and glowy, great bronzers and blushers and muted colour that really works. It’s lovely – check it out.
By Terry, bitches! This eponymous line from Terry De Gunzberg is highly-specified, beautifully packaged and full of products that are pricey, yes, but which work. I am all over the Baume de Rose, around €45, and no, you can’t have any.
Nude skincare is gonna be an exclusive. Founded by Irish/English businessman Bryan Meehan with a little help from Ali Hewson, this is a range of naturaceutical products formulated with plant actives and yummy things like hyaluronic acid, omegas and peptides. Delish. The Advanced Renewal Collection includes this Eye Complex, about €60.
Ooh! Zelens: Dr Marco Lens is the man behind this brand and with a pedigree that includes the fact he’s a plastic and reconstructive surgeon, Dr Lens is also an authority in the field of skin aging and skin cancer. Therefore, he’s a good bet for skincare. Try the Daily Defense Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 30, about €60ish, if you’re looking for a light, high-performance product.
Yammy Eve Lom. This is the primer, €45, that’s an integral part of the brand’s new Radiance Perfecting range, which we’ve taken a look at before. This ain’t no primer like you know – there’s no silicone slip and instead it takes the concept back to actually priming the skin with hydration so that it looks its best for what you layer on top.
Space NK will also carry Diptyque’s L’Art du Soin skincare line which landed in February. This rose-scented Nourishing Cleansing Balm for the face, is definitely one I’m super keen to try. I don’t have an exact price for this but it’ll most likely be in the €50ish bracket.
So, what do we reckon? Delira and excira that Space NK’s here and planning your haul?
This post has been brought to you thanks to a generous slathering of By Terry Baume de Rose, hydratin’ lips as I type.
