Ombre Matt, €22, is definitely the most interesting newbie coming in August from Clarins as part of its autumn collection. A suite of five neutral-toned cream-to-matte shadows, plus one sparkly shade, the brand’s saying they’re “a new type of “cream-powder” texture with a matte finish and a unique sensorial feel.” So while they may look a lot like similar products from Chanel and Lancome, for example, I’m guessing they’re gonna be a little different. Excited about these, I must say.
Shades are earth, taupe, rosewood, nude beige, nude pink and sparkle grey. I’d like ’em all, please.
Also new for eyes will be this Instant Light Eye perfecting base, €25, now in a tube. To illuminate and smooth, essentially it’s a primer.
Now this, this I can’t wait for. Clarins has reinvented its absolutely excellent brow kit into its new-style packaging. Brow powders, wax and the cutest little tools you ever did see are included. Kit Sourcils ‘Pro’ will be €41.
Also for eyes is one of the Eye Quartet Mineral Palettes, €41. This is a new “skin tones palette,”apparently.
More for eyes in the form of a Be Long Mascara, €26, in intense black, and a new shade of 3 Dot Liner, €25, in brown.
For lips there are five new shades of Rouge Eclat, €23. It’s a full-coverage formula and shades are Chestnut Brown, Red Fuchsia, Candy Rose, Strawberry Sorbet and Pink Magnolia.
Lastly, there’s a new Blush Prodige, €33, shade incoming in Tawny Pink.
Here’s how Clarins is selling the look to us. Do you like?
