Sartorially, Orla Kiely never strays too far out of her comfort zone and what she creates is generally retro-inspired, while being wearable, functional and pretty.
That’s usually a good sign for a beauty look that’ll match up to something you can mimic on your own face, and for yesterday’s LFW show, Bourjois supplied the products, and Irish artist Attracta Courtney brought the expertise for a flower power-inspired look that’s sweet and wearable.
Kiely’s inspo for the collection was around films like Agnes Varda’s Le Boneur, a classic French New Wave film, and Vera Chytilova’s 1920s Dasies, so beauty was made to match, with pastel lips and an exaggerated shadow detail in the socket. It was “all about a fresh 60s dreaminess, captured under a soft-focused Instagram lens – a modern Twiggy-esque style with a hint of eyelash rebellion for that carefree spirited, flower power girl with a cutesy attitude,” says Attracta Courtney.
So, here’s what was used.
