Berry lips are always popular come the Autumn and Winter seasons, and this year is no different. Inspired by supermodel Cara Delevingne, many designers such as Rebecca Taylor, Naeem Khan and Ruffian chose to team darker lips with big, defined brows for their runway shows leaving eyes clean so as not to over load the look.

Want to try the trend? Here are my top picks, and a few different ways to wear it – depending on how brave you’re feeling.

A great choice for anyone who likes to keep things low maintenance – I love NYC Smooch Proof in Berry Long Time and Smashbox Limitless stain in Berry (2).
A moisturising, low key way to wear berry shades this season; try Clinique’s Chubby Stick in Voluptuous Violet (3) or alternatively, ELF coloured lip balm in Blissful Berry.
Sheer, matte, metallic – the choices are endless, but if you’re looking for a high-impact shot of shade, look no further than MAC Rebel Lipstick (1) or Top Shop lipstick in Lips in Depth.
  4. GLOSS
For anyone worried about smaller or uneven lips, try using a neutral lip pencil to define first and then add a pop of berry lipgloss on top such as YSL Gloss Volupte in Prune Organdi (4) or DuWop’s Twilight lip venom.
