It’d have been a sin to have passed up the K/KLUE bag

Let me tell you a little story. Last week, not one, but two people tweeted me to tell me that both Kenzo and Karl Lagerfeld bags had just landed at the Outnet and I should go and take myself off there for a look.

Always willing to be bag-enabled, I did. The Kenzo Kalifornia’s the one I want, but it’s still a bit more than a payday splurge at €348 (even though that’s – feck’s sake – half price), so I clicked to the Karl Lagerfeld selection where some monochrome beauts awaited.

For €140, it’d have been a sin to have passed up the K/KLUE two-tone leather shoulder bag, wouldn’t it? Yes, definitely. So I didn’t.

With 60% off, sure I was doing myself a favour as well, I reckoned. It’s still on sale, by the way…

With shoulder strap, front patch pocket and inner zipped pocket, this leather bag is small, but big enough to carry a purse, keys, phone and a couple of beauty bits on a night out. In size comparison terms, it’s a lot roomier than both my Sophie Hulme envelope flap and my yellow Marc by Marc Jacobs cross-body, both of which fit approximately a credit card and a Euro coin, and basically no more.

Then, I thought I’d just take another squizz at Kenzo. This printed textured-leather pouch accidentally fell into my basket and I then accidentally paid for it. Oh dear. Oh look, it was only €50. Erm.

This is really wee: about the size of an A5 envelope, it’s got (God forgive me for using either of these words) neither girth nor gusset, so you can fit very little in there. But it’s pretty, huh?

And there endeth my recent purchases – what have you bought recently?
