With the Nineties revival hitting its stride this year, it was only a matter of time before nudes came back into force and this season they’re on everyone’s lips… literally. (Hello, Kylie Jenner.)
Glossy, matte and all textures in between; nude lipsticks, balms and glosses are popping up all over the place. When it comes to actually wearing them though, the key’s finding the right shade to suit your skin tone – and look.
I’ve chosen some of my favourites to get you started:
- Dior Rouge Dior Nude in Grege:
Creamy, hydrating and beautiful on all skin tones, this peachy-rose from Dior’s new collection is a sure-fire winner making it ideal for anyone who’s nervous about going nude.
- Giorgio Armani Rouge Ecstasy Lipstick in shade #102
With the CC tag (meaning colour and care in this case) Armani have created long lasting, hydrating colour that conditions lips as you wear it. Pair this pink toned nude with flushed cheeks this winter.
- Butter London Lippy in Toasted Marshmallow:
A medium coverage beige nude that has a creamy satin finish and a great choice as an accompaniment to bronzy or earthy eye make-up.
- Mac Lipstick in Fleshpot:
For pale-skinned girls this nude lipstick is a goer, although not the most flattering on deeper skin tones – think back to 1999 when we loved using concealer for lips, only nicer and more modern.
- Rimmel Apocalips in Luna:
I’m cheating a bit here as this is a warm, coral/nude but it looks lovely on the majority of skin tones and compliments even the simplest of makeup.
- Bobbi Brown Creamy Matte lip colour in Latte:
A warm, pink-beige, use this for a polished, matte finish that lasts all day without being drying.
