Maybelline did the makeup, but it was an altogether higher-end experience on the nails at the Cushnie et Ochs show at New York Fashion week.
Mani maven Madeline Poole (who also works with Sally Hansen; I’ve chatted transatlantic-style to her before and she’s a font of info on all things hand-related) was on decor duty.
Of her design she says, “I had an intuition we would be using a small square motif. We went with two coats of “Sweet Charity” with square detailing in navy blue “Wherever” and teal green “Ni Toi Ni Moi.” It’s very simple with a stunning, graphic impact.”
The shades used matched the colours of the clothes, and the effect is sharp and sophisticated. Want to see more? Then browse the nail lookbook from the show in the gallery, and if you want to buy the colours, CL Beaute is exclusively available at Brown Thomas; a nail shade will set you back €45.
